Hands of Light was a print for a community church I was commissioned to illustrate. The right hand board in the above image shows the hand illustration in different pieces. Once I illustrated and correctly colored each area of the hand where the light was going to be, I just copied the hand I created and flipped it horizontally giving a right and left hand.
I placed a light orb with a Gaussian blur behind the hands on a dark gray background. This gave the church something to work with when they wanted to place a one word text over the light orb, such as: Hope, Faith, Love, and Kindness.
