Hands of Light was a print for a community church we were commissioned to illustrate. The right hand board in the above image shows the hand illustration in different pieces. Once we illustrated and correctly colored each area of the hand where the light was going to be, we just copied the hand we created and flipped it horizontally giving us a right and left hand.
We placed a light orb with a Gaussian blur behind the hands on a dark gray background. This gave the church something to work with when they wanted to place a one word text over the light orb, such as: Hope, Faith, Love, and Kindness.
